Meet Cameryn Carr, a junior at the University of Georgia majoring in Communications in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. As the first in her family to attend UGA—an achievement made even more meaningful by her family's lifelong love for the Dawgs—Cameryn is proud to represent both her roots and her future in Athens.
Cameryn has a strong passion for content creation and social media marketing, which she's turned into real-world experience through building her personal brand to a community of more than 74,500 followers on TikTok. Her creative background also includes managing social media for her rock band, SCHMOOZE, as well as for the brand Shadebeast, where she focuses on engagement strategy, follower retention, video editing, and graphic design.
As the Social Media Representative for ApartmentsForAthens, Cameryn enjoys creating content that feels authentic to student life and showcases the energy, creativity, and culture that make Athens unique. She brings a thoughtful, student-first perspective to everything she creates, helping connect renters with off-campus housing through content that's both informative and relatable.
Beyond her work with ApartmentsFor, Cameryn is involved in the UGA Music Business Program and works as a substitute teacher at the University Childcare Center. She is also the lead singer of SCHMOOZE, captures concert photography for local bands, and spends her downtime thrifting or checking out favorite local spots like Clocked and The Globe.
Looking ahead, Cameryn is excited to continue blending creativity, community, and storytelling—both in Athens and wherever her path leads next.
