If you have been to an SEC football game, you know that gamedays are the met gala of southern universities. Athens is no exception! UGA fans and students love to get dressed up to show their support on game days, but also on regular days as well. Usually, fans either wear UGA colors in their outfit or UGA branded t-shirts and apparel. Whichever you decide is for you, there are plenty of options for where to get these items in Athens. It is also nice to have t-shirts and sweatshirts to wear to class once UGA has won a game!

If you're looking for "UGA-themed" gameday outfits, such as red skirts or "silver britches", consider

The UGA Bookstore
A good option when looking for gameday apparel is always the UGA bookstore. They have a ton of options. For women, they have plenty of trendier options as well as various t-shirts for each college. UGA is associated with Nike, so there are a lot of athletic options, as well as nice polos and tops for men. It can be on the expensive side, but UGA will occasionally give you coupons to spend at the bookstore.
Buying UGA Apparel online
If you don't have time to go shopping in person, there are plenty of online shops to get your game-day outfit from. The UGA bookstore has an online site, which is a great way to buy apparel before you get to UGA. Other options for online shops are Fanatics, the SEC Store, the Official Georgia Bulldogs store, and Alumni Hall. However, don't feel the need to buy UGA-branded things. Wearing red and black is just as good, and you can add a UGA button or sticker to your outfit if you want to have more school spirit.
Dressing for Gameday
Gamedays in Athens can be a lot of fun, but sometimes the weather is not. It can get super-hot in Sanford Stadium during the summer and fall months, so keep that in mind. Dress appropriately for the weather, especially if you'll be tailgating in Myers Quad or North Campus. In the colder months, wear layers. Since Sanford Stadium is open at one end, you will not be shielded from the wind.
